Hi,
Is possibile in a qgis project to define an alias for the field names of
the layers to obtain a better understandable for user when they do an
identify ?

Hi hope that this will have a retrun also on the response at a
GetFeatureInfo request in qgis-server.

Actually qgis-server in a getfeatureinfo request return the exact
field-name as available in the shapefile.
They often are un-understandabel for a standard user.

This is less important on qgis desktop because qgis desktop is for a
power user, but a qgis-server is for give a service to an home-user that
more probably nothing know of the shapefile and its field names.

Thx,
