Hi Lester,
You can export from QGIS to csv and get x,y. I have not tried to get the 
z-coordinate. Use Save as
You can import to QGIS a CSV and use x,y. Use Layer>Add text...

Hello,

Is it possible to export a shapefile into XYZ from QGIS? It is partly possible 
via the GMT option (save layer as) but not readily useable.
