Hi, I don't think it is possible to use relations in the print composer/serial printing.
I would be very interested in having these supported. In fact, Nyall Dawson will work in the future on a reporting mode (not in 2.4, but maybe in 2.6). I am very interested in having the value relations and other relations supported. Currently you will have to use Postgis Views.
