There is a new wordwrap function in the latest dev.
wordwrap(string,wrap_length[,delimiter_string])
Returns a string wrapped to a maximum/minimum number of characters.
wordwrap('UNIVERSITY OF QGIS',13) → 'UNIVERSITY OF\nQGIS'
