You can:

 - create the polygon convering your raster extent: Vector -> Research
Tools -> Polygon from layer extent
 - obtain the clip between your vector layer and the extent polygon: Vector
-> Geoprocessing tools -> Clip

@Vincent: Processing is installed with QGIS, you don't have to install it.
