Thank you for your response, Ramon I use a soilmart (government site) to download the soil polygons and the database data. soilmart is organized by county. In one county it works while in the other it does not work. I can see the join field in the style sheet in both counties. I can set it up in layer's properties exactly the same and it all looks identical until I apply the settings. Then one county displays the layer properly, in the other not at all. (Because it sounds a lot like when I apply my saved style that works on the "Au_ppb" field to a layer with an "Auppb" field) Also, is the field you're classifying is in the joined table? Did the join work as expected?
