I noticed the same problem... I found a reason - in map composer there is the problematic layer in legend (in previous version of QGIS new layers was automatically added to the legend in map composer). Delete this layer in legend in map composer, then delete it from QGIS. Or open QGIS project file in notepad and delete this layer manually.
