Hey John,
In the text properties for Labels, under the label size just change
"points" to "map units" and adjust the label size as needed.

Easy enough to figure out how to label features. Is there a way to
keep the layers a constant size? Now when the user zooms in our out
the labels scale. Is it possible to turn label scaling off?
