Hi Martin,

Type in a scheme where you want to save the loaded OS Mastermap files (myITN
for example).

Then you need to click on … in front of Input and point to where your gz or gml
file(s) are located and then press OK.

To load the data on the map canvas, in QGIS, from the main menu > Database > DB
Manager > DB Manager

In the new Window, from Tree, PostGIS > test > myITN

Right-click on the layer you want to see and select Add to canvas.

Hope that helps.

Regards,

Saber

Thank you Saber,

I have installed the Postgresql, following you instructions as best I could.
However when I open the addin in QGIS I am unable to change the Connection box,
which while I was playing earlier I had entered 'Test'. I have tried un
installing the add in shutting down and starting again - but I am still unable
to change it from test.

I am very new to QGIS and struggling with these new concepts...

Hi Martin,

OS Translator II can load your files. But you need to install and configure a
PostGIS connection:

Once PostGIS is installed, you need to create a connection to your database in
QGIS. OS Translator II can be then used to load all your data into PostGIS:

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

OS Masterdata. ITN files in the format .gz

I am struggling, as a new user to load all of these files into QGIS 2.8.

I can load files one at a time (or select all the files in a sub-folder), each
time getting a new window asking which vector layers to add (Road, RoadLink,
RoadNode - which appear to be all that any of the files contain) and then
having to hit Select All and OK. Each one of these then creates a new layer.

I've searched the internet and found several solutions (so called) that say
they can load OS data but I cannot find one that works. (add in OS Translator
II, and a few other external programs that I have now lost track of).

Surely there is a way to load all these files without having to do Select All
and OK, fo each single file, and to create one single layer?

Thanks for any help.
