Hi, I ran into the same issue… The package name is now «qgis-server» (and no longer «qgis-mapserver”) I think it changed from version 2.4 to 2.6… See: http://hub.qgis.org/projects/quantum-gis/wiki/qgis_server_tutorial

Is the library still in the development stage? i'm connected to the ubuntu-unstable repository: http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntugis/ubuntugis-unstable/ubuntu Terminal output:- @Ubuntu:~$ sudo apt-get install qgis-mapserver libapache2-mod-fcgid [sudo] password: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done libapache2-mod-fcgid is already the newest version. Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies. qgis-mapserver : Depends: qgis-providers (= 2.4.0-1ubuntu2) but 1:2.8.1+21utopic is to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. @Ubuntu:~$ sudo apt-get install qgis-server Reading package lists...
