Hi I am having trouble erasing part of a file by using another file as a mask and the tool Difference. I have a habitat map and I want to erase the part of the habitat map that is within a conservation area. So I have two shapefiles, one of habitats polygons and the other of conservation area polygons. I have tried using Difference, but it doesn't work, it has left me with the same data as the input file. Does anyone know of a fix for this that might work? I have tried doing this a different way, using Select etc, but I can't seem to do it. Any help much appreciated. Many thanks. --Susan.
