I followed this training manual a few years ago, and I repased in QGis 2.12 Pisa. There are not such a bug. Maybe you not select 'Decimal Number' 'Numeric' to the TYPE field.Maybe the projection is not that you think, verify in the layer propierties.Maybe you don't select the layer that especify the manualTry to start again from the beggining the point 4.3.3.Verify the data again and again :D Regards
