My first suggestion would be to go into c:\users\your_username and
rename your .qgis2 directory and restart qgis. If it suddenly starts
working correctly you most likely have an out of date or bad plugin.
Which might mean you either need to upgrade or uninstall some plugins
(if you choose to move your old .qgis2 directory back)
If that doesn't work I'll have to defer to the more seasoned QGIS vets
on the list.

*Subject:* [OSGeo-Discuss] Cannot Add a Feature to QGIS 2.14.2 - Essen
Hi guys
I hope you can help. I am working on a QGIS project, which was
originally created in an older version of QGIS. I am using Windows 10
on a PC.
Whenever I try to Add a New Feature the program stops responding and
hangs (Not Responding). All I can do is force the program to stop and
try again.
Is there anything you can suggest me to try to allow this feature to
work properly?
Many thanks
Stuart
