Yeah, I had the same issue with (pretty small) measurement values: moved to scientific notation while I still wanted to have normal values... Maybe you should create a Feature request (at issues.qgis.org) for this: - never show values in scientific notations - mixup like now - always show scientific notations in ??? attribute tables? Labels?
