Hi Hugo, that looks very cool. I've been looking into this for a while and the thing that seems to be missing even in the expensive commercial software is the ability to define (non-spatial) relationships between data points. The articles I've found about this sort of thing via google all suggest that it would be very useful and discuss basic structures but I haven't been able to find an implementation. Ideally I'd find something implemented so compatibility was built in.
Using postgis is a great. I'm working on the relationships in access at the moment just because it's easy to visualise and is installed on most of the PC's I work with. Once I get the tables right I'll look at moving to something better.
