That is indeed a wonderful accomplishment! I downloaded it from github, moved the folder to the plugins folder of QGIS. I had to reproject to a projected coordinate system (in the bottom right), then I added some shapes on the multipolygon layer I created.
It all works great. Would it make sense to disable the icons that create lines, when editing a multipolygon layer?
