Dear Jörg, I'm using QGIS 3.16 and 3.10 on Windows 7 and Window 10 systems both localized in Italian with the comma "," as decimal separator but I cannot replicate your issue: the multilineHeight property is written in the qgs project file file with the dot "." as decimal separator and thus correctly read and restored after opening the saved qgs project file.
Could you please specify what QGIS version are you using? Best regards.
