Hi Calvin,
This is an old issue, see this GIS Stack Exchange question from 7 years ago,
Underdark gives a good work
around:https://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/86747/how-to-select-polygons-by-distance-to-a-single-polygon-in-another-layer#86776

A feature request, last year, was closed, alexbruy says this for why:   "IMHO
this is a wontfix, as same fucntionality [sic] can be implemented using
model/script." But he is flexible about his decision:   "Closing as wontfix.
Please reopen if necessary."So maybe anyone who wants this functionality can
ask for it to be reopened? on this Github page:

Very good, thanks for this Richard.

Hi,

you can also install it the docker way :

Subject: [Qgis-user] QGISserver 3.16 - WFS cascade getfeatureinfo and
    WMS cascade legend

Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi all,

in the last month I experienced some issues on the different vQGISserver
versions:

  *  firstly I had QGISserver 2.18 where WFS cascade getfeatureinfo was solved
following this: https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/issues/41292 and
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/issues/25847, while WMS cascade getfeatureinfo and
getlegend doesn't work. Here the mailinglist discussion:
http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/qgisserver-for-publishing-external-WFS-td5456132.html
  *  then I updated to QGISserver 3.16. I couldn't update to 3.18 version
because the server is Ubuntu 18.04 (not 20.04). Thus, now WMS cascade
getfeatureinfo works fine, still not getlegend. The WFS cascade unfortunately
doesn't work again. The only clue in the qgisserver.log is these lines:

11:26:51 WARNING Server[15710]: <ServiceExceptionReport version="1.3.0"
xmlns="http://www.opengis.net/ogc";>

 <ServiceException code="Service configuration error">Service unknown or
unsupported. Current supported services (case-sensitive): WMS WFS WCS WMTS
SampleService, or use a WFS3 (OGC API Features) endpoint</ServiceException>

</ServiceExceptionReport>

and

11:26:52 WARNING [15710]: Warning: error parsing post data as XML: at line 1,
column 1: error occurred while parsing element. Assuming urlencoded query
string sent in the post body.

and

11:30:12 WARNING Server[15710]: WMS capabilities document not found in cache

Please consider that in Lizmap framework if for a third party layer I chose
'get images directly from wms server' - in this case the legend is shown but
not the map and consequently the getfeatureinfo doesn't work. That's weird!

Any hint?

Eugenio

I am slow in responding to this, but I work with users that often do not
have direct access to the Internet so it is very important that the
installers provide all the data and not require some additional download
especially if that additional download would require system admin
privileges.

Good morning,

I would need a hand to split a line into x parts not necessarily the same.
For example: I have a line 400 meters long and I would like to divide it
into a segment 60 meters long, another 200 meters long, another 10 meters
long, etc. On the starting line there are points that perhaps can help in
the division. So far I've only found information on how to divide a
400-meter-long line into 4 100-meter-l-one segments, but that's not what I
need.

Looking forward to a kind answer I offer my greetings

Raffaele

Raffaele,

If you don't want to write any code, split the line based on the minor
distance, like 10m. Then do several joins to get the desired segment
lengths.

Jorge Gustavo
