What's the origin of this value?
I guessed it is/was something with pixel/point/mm conversions so googled: "point pixel 0.26" bringing me: https://www.dunplab.it/px-to-rem which says: "Pixels are a unit of measurement commonly used in graphic and web design, equivalent to roughly 1⁄96 inch (0.26 mm)." So.. I think that is where the 0.26 (mm) comes from :-) Maybe historically it was 1 pixel? And some people asked to make mm the default?
