Hi, And here's the feature in the changelog ( https://qgis.org/en/site/forusers/visualchangelog322/index.html#feature-data-defined-raster-layer-opacity); afaict, it affects the whole layer and not pixel by pixel.
On a kind-of "off topic" request, I'd also be interested to see examples of expressions playing with raster functions.
