Hi, Well, I recently found out (when busy with this PR https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/46028), that you CAN use that url in the Locator Toolbar to fly to the right place.
But I was wondering IF that url was actually holding the coordinates of your red polygon... I googled: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/22809103/what-is-the-encoding-of-the-data-attribute-in-the-new-google-maps which says: !1m14 !1m8 !1m3 !1d3101.011519367493 // zoom level !2d-94.59454913903049 // longitude !3d38.99223345944582 // latitude !3m2 !1i1024 // looks like some screen resolution, !2i768 // but never changes !4f13.1 !3m3 !1m2 !1s0x0%3A0xaf8a57446f312899 !2sOne+More+Cup // business name that I clicked !5e0 !3m2 !1sde // language (german) !2s !4v1404933052643 // timestamp So it seems NOT possible to create the polygon from that url... Or do other have other info? Maybe you can use the OSM api (overpass?) to find polygons of municipalities? Regards, Richard Duivenvoorde On 12/23/21 15:43, krishna Ayyala wrote:
Hello, In the google maps, I have typed Leduc, Alberta. I got the the following weblink with the red polygon as shown in the map. Is it possible to import this polygon into QGIS? If not, Is it possible to get the coordinates of the entire polygon so that I can geocode in QGIS. Pasted the link below.
