shame on me I had set the wrong unit for label offset (millimeters) which causes the labels to shift when the map scale changes. Different scale in the print composer compared to map view -> different label position. My fault. When the unit is set to map units, it works fine. Sorry again. Have a nice weekend, UF. Time to go back to 3.18 or is there a solution in 3.22-5?? Or in 3.24? Where can I read details about improvements from 3.22-4 to 3.22-5? On the web, theres only notes about 3.22 change log.
