Yes, thank you! I only tried it about 2 hours ago and the second example
worked perfectly.
Hi Andrew,
probably the first example doesn't work for you due to the forced text
word-wrap inside the QgsVectorLayer string (a single blank space is
needed between the url='url' and the typename='id' part) in the e-mail
message text.
Even if you have solved the issue, maybe you will find more useful this
