Hi John,

You might have a look at Quantarctica, as they seem to have done just what you
are proposing.

This is a well proven system, with several versions created over the years. The
key is to configure a well set up project file that is very robust & portable.

Subject: [Qgis-user] Help with a Portable QGIS Build

Hello,

I'm working on a project to bundle QGIS with data to create an easy-to-ship and
use viewer (aka atlas). However, I'm struggling with the portability of it, and
I'm hoping someone can help me get QGIS running as it moves from computer to
computer. The process and progress sections at the link below explain where I
am right now with the .bat file I'm trying to use.

https://github.com/johnzastrow/mqs/blob/main/docs/qgis_viewer/REQUIREMENTS.MD

It seems my script is not doing the right things to reset environment variables
as the atlas moves to a new computer. Trying to unravel the cascading .bat
files from the installer has led me to a blind alley.

Thank you
