Hi Radra
A word of caution.
Please be careful to think that Google Earth is more accurate than your
drone aerial imagery. Google Earth imagery suppliers may not have a DEM
that is accurate, often for places/locations that are not considered
high-value e.g. places likely to be visited by people on Google Earth,
those that have not been commissioned at a high level for spatial
accuracy etc. You would need to determine from the imagery source of the
Google supplied imagery, what that scene is produced at. If you have a
national spatial body for your country, it is likely their DEM will be
more accurate.
However, in saying all this, you may simply want it aligning with GE
imagery, for other purposes and then please disregard my email.

Hi,
I'm a rookie in this field.
I ran a map mission with my dji drone and Dronelink. Based on the
footage I generated with webodm an ortophoto that is pretty decent, but
because I didn't use GCPs the ortophoto is not perfectly aligned with
google maps or google earth. ChatGPT told me that I can align them
using QGIS, but I wasn't able to do this. do you have a video tutorial
for this particular task? Please help.
Thanks,
radra
