Thank you Brent. That's an interesting idea and I'll give it some more thought.
I gather, from your reply, that what I have in mind is too complex and may not even be possible. I'm happy with the display that I have but with every point labelled the map tends to be a bit untidy.
I'm not actually watching live data. I might collect aircraft position reports over many hours during the or even overnight and then display the aircraft positions and trails the following day.
Anyway, thank you for your reply and you've given me something to think about.
