One last thing. Not sure if its my browser (Firefox 2.0.0.1+dfsg-0ubuntu0.6.10 (edgy-security)), or how my browser is configured to download these data types, but links to checksum (http://download.qgis.org/qgis/edgy/qgis_edgy.tar.gz.md5) and torrent files (http://download.qgis.org/torrents/qgis_edgy.tar.gz.torrent) appear broken (for Ubuntu)...
I get a garbled error that appears to include a dynamic path when I try to download [md5] <http://download.qgis.org/qgis/edgy/qgis_edgy.tar.gz.md5> or [torrent] <http://download.qgis.org/torrents/qgis_edgy.tar.gz.torrent>... /tmp/nkiu6pry could not be saved, because the source file could not be read. Try again later, or contact the server administrator (see attached) tar downloads fine. -jv
