Hi Li Its really difficult to help you unless you give us a *lot* more details:
- which operating system (and version) are you using - which compiler - what did you already do (which documentation did you consult, what procedure did you follow etc) and where did you run into problems. I really suggest to take a look at this document: http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html We would love to help you, but you need to provide us with enough information. If you are trying to compile 0.8 under windows, I suggest that you wait for a few weeks for 0.8.1 release or check out the 0.8 branch from subversion.
