Support for java.util.Date
--------------------------
Key: QI-49
URL: http://issues.ops4j.org/jira/browse/QI-49
Project: Qi4j
Issue Type: New Feature
Components: ReST
Reporter: Niclas Hedhman
Assignee: Rickard Öberg
The current Rest Entity API does not support java.util.Date.
I suggest that we generate date/time fields in a well defined standard. But
which?
My guess is that RFC822 has a definition, but probably quite verbose.
Instinctively I would like to see something like;
YYYYMMDD HH:mm:ss.www
Always!! expressed in UTC.
Alternatively, even the date expressed in the fairly common "number of
milliseconds since Jan 1st 1970" works for me.
