For myself, Michael suggested Git to me some time back. Me and Niclas
then discussed it a couple of days ago, and I checked up Subversion vs
Git. It seemed to be many good reasons to change to Git, and the tools
(IntelliJ + Atlassian) could handle it, so Niclas did the change. As
simple as that. Mercurial was not even on the table, as weren't the
other 50+ options that are possible.
