Gang,

I have prepared the "Qi4j SDK 1.0-RC1".

The SDK is intended as the 'conventional' way to use Qi4j, i.e.
without Maven. You download it, install it and make the libraries
available to your application. It contains;

* all Qi4j stable libraries and extensions in binary form

* all third-party dependencies except;
   - Spring Framework
   - JRuby, Groovy, Rhino, Beanshell
   - Struts
  in order to save a lot of download bandwidth and time.

* Javadoc of Qi4j API, SPI and Bootstrap

* Sample and Tutorial sources.

What I think is currently missing;

 - Documentation (PDF from website?)
 - Build system (ant?) for tutorials and samples.
 - Instructions on HowTo get going.
 - More complete examples.

But I think that we can entice people to help building this up, now
that a skeletal SDK exist.

See http://www.qi4j.org/downloads.html

WDYT?

Cheers
