Those semantics are coming from people who defined the interface. I could always ask here, just like I did now, but then you will be writing the answers anyway. If you want me to keep asking and just cut-n-paste the answers this is not exactly the most efficient way of writing the docs.

Otherwise, it is very difficult to start working on those extensions. For the most of my QRM effort I could consult JDBM implementation, but I have a ton of questions of conceptual kind and that slows down the effort.
