Well, that's why I prefer email and blogs, because there is an inherent context and time associated with them. When you write the same thing on a webpage there's an implicit assumption that it will stay there forever, and won't change much.

So, I'm guessing that it will be difficult to put exactly into practice
the stuff you're reading about, since we're not working under that same
conditions. I'm sure you'll find some good principles, though.

We need both. Putting reference material in webpages is not a problem. It's the patterns and practices that needs to be timestamped, because they WILL change.
