There is an EntityStore extension based on Hibernate, but I'm not sure about the status of it. In general the Qi4j entity model does not map well to the more primitive JPA/JDO/Hibernate models. The main reason you'd want to use a relational database with Qi4j is if you have some legacy database you want to access through Qi4j. Is that the case for you?
