Hi, Rickard,
Alright, so I've been doing a lot of thinking and experimentation with this in Streamflow, and my conclusions are as follows.
Wow, it's amazing how much things have advanced. Wonderful!
Does that sound reasonable? Does anyone know of other frameworks going this way? (static HTML/CSS/JS + framework for REST API)
Hard to say until I try, but I can say that I absolutely detest pure javascript. One of the things I like about Wicket (and other frameworks like it) is that the js is mostly abstracted away. Lately I've been using JQuery a lot with Wicket, and I am satisfied (although not 100%).
So, if I had just a little bit of time to experiment, I'd probably try using Wicket with a restful backend, with JQuery integration. Cool be very cool. Wicket uses "Models" to connect with the actual data sources. I can't see why a JSonModel or RestfulModel or something wouldn't work.
Cheers, =David _______________________________________________ qi4j-dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ops4j.org/mailman/listinfo/qi4j-dev
