I have never looked at Quartz previously, but implemented similar feature for process control about a decade ago (in Java, though)...
Maybe consider a in-house, light-weight, Qi4j enhanced version ?? FTR, I will need one within a couple of weeks as well and have it part of 1.3 release. Perhaps my needs are far less than what other people needs, but a timed (by clock) executor can't be that hard, especially if we say that the "job" is an entity...
