Hello Christian,

to check that your memory tweaks are effective, in QizxStudio
you can look either on the bottom left of the main window,
or use Help|About there is a section about the JVM at the bottom.

A 600 Mb document can use from 1000 Mb to 1800 Mb of main memory
depending on the number of nodes, attributes etc.

Now it also depends on your queries: for example if you do
a large join, that can use additional memory.

So perhaps try to increase even beyond 2 Gb.
