Superb!

When I update ppp, I get:

[root@coop /root]# rpm -Uhv /hd2/ppp-2.4.0-2.m68k.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
        /etc/pam.d/system-auth is needed by ppp-2.4.0-2

I hope it's nothing severe, I have installed ppp with --nodeps option of
rpm then.

Reboot with new kernel and starting ppp I get:

Dec 29 20:16:06 coop pppd[420]: This system lacks kernel support for PPP.
This could be because the PPP kernel module could not be loaded, or
because PPP was not included in the kernel configuration. If PPP was
included as a module, try `/sbin/modprobe -v ppp'. If that fails, check t

You have build the kernel with ppp, I have installed ppp-2.4.0-2 and
modutils-2.4.2-5.

Maybe still too old? Kermel ppp is:
PPP generic driver version 2.4.1

Thanks again,

PS: I have checked out Sylpheed rpm by you - it's working well on Q40.
