Hi, I wanted to get the pictures out of the digicam we had with us when we were at the Manchester show trying to help D&D Systems a little. One possibility is to connect the digicam via serial link, which works well under SMS. This time I put the CompactFlash in the CF reader, started Q40 Linux with kernel option hdc=swapdata, mount and then I could copy all the image files in a second. I love it, when everything works at once and fast ;) The latter method has the advantages that every cam that uses CFs is supported and its very fast.
