Peter Graf has an interesting email in ql-developers:
--------------------------------------------
just for info: I noticed that a number of affordable harddisks with
ethernet connection have become available, e.g. Digitus DN-7013, Asus
WL-HDD2.5 and OvisLink MU-5000FS.

There is now quite a nice range of new peripherals which can be
connected by ethernet. Printers, Scanners, Harddisks, Cameras.

It looks like ethernet could solve most of the connectivity problems for
the QL. And for Q40/Q60, ethernet hardware already exists. How about the
ethernet projects for the traditional QL? If any hardware add-on for the
traditional QL still makes sense, then I guess it's ethernet. Has there
been any progress?

Which chip is going to be used in ethernet interfaces for the
traditional QL?
