Yeah, for me it was just pretty clear that he was not actually using
the high colour mode, not matter what the reason.

Simple check for this: if after entering "disp_colour 2" (it's BTW
really "2", not "1", my mistake in not spotting this in an earlier
mail from Peter) the command "print disp_type" still doesn't print 16,
then you don't have the extended driver.

It's usually always the basic things that get you :-)

Actually the first thing I verify with most customers is that they are
really using the software version they *think* they're using. It's
almost a somewhat insulting question, but it has happened too many
times that somebody got a new QPC release from me but the problem
still existed because the version they actually start (usually through
a link) is a different one buried somewhere else on the hard drive!
