The floppy disk drive looks like it would fit onto the floppy disk
expansion port of a Sinclair PC200, which is a totally different

It is possibly a Miles Gordon disk drive for Spectrum - from SD1 :

The Miles Gordon disk systems - both the Disciple and the Plus D - used
a standard drive connection, the same as the QL disk systems. I've got a
Plus D here and have used the Drive from it a couple of times on the QL.
