I had a go at OCRing it after Jean-Yves Rouffiac sent me the version which is on my website. He had scanned about 20 pages of the 103 page manual (scanned as graphics) but they were huge, about 3MB, way too large to email or put online. The Computer One manual is rather faintly printed and my scanner here at home has no chance with the OCR. I got as far as page 26 using a good scanner at the company I worked for earlier this year. Even with that scanner, the number of errors was huge and since there are so many Pascal listings in the manual which would need to be 100% correct, I gave up on it. If anyone wants to have a go at OCRing the rest of it, I can send the first 26 pages or so as a Word DOC file.
The 26 pages I did cover chapters 1 to 4 (Introduction, Getting Started, The Commands and The Editor, leaving the following to be done. Most of this is just text, but Appendix C is mostly diagrams which will need to be scanned as graphics. Chapters 5 - Language Definition (42 pages) Chapter 6 - Standard Procs And Fns for the QL (11 pages) Chapter 7 - Standard Pascal Procs and Fns (3 pages) Bibliography - (1 page) 5 appendices (18 pages) Index To be honest, I think I found that typing it all in was actually quicker than correcting the errors in the OCRed text.
