Hi John, Thanks for the sad news regarding the death of John Scarborough. Previously, we have left the name on the mailing list so that the family are able to read any tributes etc which we were able to print. but I will certainly take advice on each case from those who knew the people concerned. Would you like to do a small piece for the magazine in the form of an obituary? Alternatively if you feel that we should remove his name from our address list immediately to prevent any grief within the family, I can do that.
Sorry to learn that another Quanta friend has departed, I am sure that he will be missed by family and friends alike. Sorry it has taken me a few days to get back to you, but we have been away since last Thursday AM and now have only a few days left to get ourselves up to date for QL is 21. Hope to see you there? Regards, John Gilpin. ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Taylor" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "QLUsers" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, October 14, 2005 12:38 PM Subject: [ql-users] Quanta members. >I am sorry to have to tell those who knew him, that John Scarborough > has died suddenly. > John was 76 years old and was a long serving Quanta member. > He kept all his farm accounts on a QL with a Super Gold Card for many > years, wrote all his letters in Quill and his invoices were done in > Abacus. > he later upgraded to a Q60 > He was the remaining Quanta member local to me, and I have lost a > friend. > > John Taylor > _______________________________________________ > QL-Users Mailing List > http://www.q-v-d.demon.co.uk/smsqe.htm _______________________________________________ QL-Users Mailing List http://www.q-v-d.demon.co.uk/smsqe.htm
