I've sent him a copy of your email, I'll forward any replies Peter

Here is an extract from Peter Jefferies's email where he mentions the 
history of Taskmaster. It looks like it might be assembler.


Taskmaster History:
Actually Andrew Pennell started it, he began writing a task switcher 
for Medic Datasystems.
I took it over at Medic, (p.s. using an assembler bought from HiSoft 
the company Andrew worked for), fixed problems, added a few features. 
Then Medic collapsed. John Norton, who was a Medic customer at the 
time persuaded me to finish it and the file tools.

John and I became friends and turned out Spellbound and Flashback. I 
remember one time John surprised me with a 6 foot rotating sign he'd 
made from scratch, for a microfair show to advertise Taskmaster. It 
was very impressive, especially for a microfair.
Another time we arranged the hiring of an attractive model for a show. 
But the poor girl just kept getting pushed away as keen buyers crowded 
round our trestle table.
