The last version of the unzip program that I found has two problems,
one of which commonly confuses users who are installing QDT for a
zipped source.
1) an error message that does not cause a real error
*** SIGNAL extension not loaded ***
2) doesn't always open a window when run, but is running anyway,
just not starting
- running it a second time usually opens a new window/case of
unzip, along with the original
- this is more common on the zip_exe than on unzip_exe
The version number of unzip is 5.20 of 30 April 1996. It saws that
it is maintained by Greg Roelofs.
Does anyone know if Greg (or someone else) is still working on this?
Is he the owner of the QL port or the generic source that it is
ported from.
It would be good to get these two things fixed. They don't stop the
use of the programs (which are for all other aspects as far as I can
tell excellent and very reliable), but as I said, it is confusing to
several users (it is my biggest reported problem for QDT).
