There was a way of transferring files between Xchange for different systems rather like a simple form of RTF. In Quill you could save or load a file via F3 F3 (for the second command screen) T for Transfer and then either save or load. The extension for transferred files was _qlt. Has anyone any experience of using it? I first heard of this some years ago when someone suggested it as a way of transferring files from a PC to a QL. It is one of the many things on my "to do" list that has long been forgotten. If you knew the format of a _qlt file it might be possible to write a filter to convert rtf or html files into _qlt and then load them via Quill into any QL word processor. IIRC conversion of rtf or html commands into _qlt would probably have been fairly simple, but that the main problem was that a _qlt file had information about the file size that was only applicable to the Psion programs, Best Wishes, Geoff _______________________________________________ QL-Users Mailing List http://www.q-v-d.demon.co.uk/smsqe.htm
