Hi all,

since I have received a lot of inquiries re that PE replacement,
here's
the instructions on where to download it and how to run it.

This is a port of DEPUI (whose original version can be found here:
<url:
http://www.deleveld.dds.nl/depui30/index.htm>)

You can download it here: <url:
http://uqlx.dokos-gr.net/files/qlpui.zip>
(C Sources included)

To use it with a mouse (the only way really :-) ) the following need
to be
observed:

1. Start your SMSQ/e WITHOUT your mouse plugged in! (That is so that
the
SMSQ/e driver will NOT be initialized)
2. Plug your mouse back in (duh!)
2. Execute qlpui_exe with EX or EXEC (That's so the priority can be
adjusted for a little extra speed if needed)
3. If it seems too slow (While the driver is not optimised, it will
feel
slow on your Q40 as it does on mine but that's not important right
now)
you need to:
4. Switch jobs and change it's priority (the job name is 'c_program')
and
switch back

This is only a demonstration. Not everything works, but the themes,
list
select, resizing, colour drivers work fine albeit a little slow.
Note, most buttons need to be DOUBLE-CLICKED (Left mouse as per PC)

All my best,

Phoebus

P.S. Please let me know what you think
P.S. (1) Run the gcc compiled binary for more speed (Almost necessary
if
you use a Q40)
