I've seen it used in the USA (IRS forms actually - that's the tax guys
for
the uninitiated) to denote January 2nd.
Then of course we're using miles and pounds still :-) -not to mention
Farenheit
I do personally too.
All our timber merchants still sell imperial sizes, but display them
metric - which is bizarre.
