Welcome to the QL community - we are all very much a friendly bunch and no
doubt someone will offer to make you some new microdrive copies.

I do supply replacement keyboard membranes for the QL and the Spectrum via
my website:
http://www.rwapsoftware.co.uk/membranes.html. Both the QL and the
Spectrum 128K are based on the same technology so just as easy to take
apart (I do supply instructions). Only main thing to beware of is the
wires which are towards the rear of the QL keyboard and can pull out from
the motherboard - there is usually sufficient length to allow you to rest
the top of the case at 90 degrees to the bottom half.

This is alas one of the main problems of the microdrives - it may not be
the cartridges, but could be that your drives need cleaning - quite often
the small rubber wheel on the left hand side rides up or wears down and
might need turning upside down - I am sure Tony Firshman could provide
some simple suggestions for maintaining the microdrives themselves.

The other option would be to get a disk interface and 3.5" disk drive -
these are faily cheap (we have some interfaces in stock although no disk
drives). This will give you access to a much wider range of software, as
most of the software written after 1990 needs at least some extra memory -
you can download software from the web onto disk drive (thanks Dilwyn for
your instructions on this) and even still purchase disk based software
brand new.
